Mom’s Memory Verses – Isaiah 40:31

In my family, Bible memorization has always been important, but somehow, after having kids, I let it slide to the back burner.

So this year, one of my big New Year’s resolutions is to memorize a new verse every week.

In a way, one verse doesn’t seem like much – not when I know I can memorize two a day if I work at it, but I want really memorize it. To internalize it, and know it by heart

Like those ABC bible verses your kindergarten teacher taught you when you were five years old. You never forget those.

Image reads "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31"

This verse is beautiful, isn’t it? It tells us that if we wait upon the Lord, HE will renew us and take away our weariness.

A few verses prior, it says, “He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.”

I think that’s so important for us to remember as moms. So often, we feel faint and that our might is small – and it is small – but He gives us strength.

All of Isaiah chapter 40 talks about how mighty God is, and the great things he can do.

For him, giving a mom strength is a small thing. And we can trust him to renew us.
