Mom Fitness

Mom Fitness is all about staying healthy while getting it all done as a mother: cooking, cleaning, feeding your family and running the household. It’s important to stay healthy as a mom, and it’s one of the things I’m most passionate about.

I stay healthy through eating healthy, and I want to teach you that you too can get on track with healthy eating! And you can feed your family healthy food too. But it doesn’t have to be a total chore. There are great ways to incorporate superfoods into your diet, and so many tricks to using whole foods from the garden.

Another way I achieve fitness as a mom is by exercising. I love to go for a run to clear my head. I also love lifting weights – it’s a great way to stay in shape. And the best thing about both of these activities? You don’t need a gym membership to do them, once you make the initial investment in the right fitness equipment!

Are you a runner, or do you want to be? This list of must have running gear will help you get started on the right foot! A few weeks ago, I finished my very first half marathon. It wasn't easy, I'll admit, but after following a training plan for nine weeks, it wasn't as impossible as I thought it Keep Reading

I think it’s a safe bet that most of us really do want to be healthier, but man, oh man, life sure does get in the way. You plan to eat a salad, and next thing you know, your stuffing your face full of dollar menu. Then it gets worse; you feel guilty. (I refuse to believe this is just me.. Keep Reading

This post was sponsored by Tai Pei and all opinions expressed in my post are my own. Ladies, sometimes you just have to step away and have some time to relax and unwind. Let somebody else take the reigns if you will, and let somebody else be in charge. We have a lot on our plates all the time as Keep Reading

how to eat superfoods when you're busy

Do you have a hard time getting around to eating superfoods everyday? For me, as much as I love salad, and green food in general, sometimes, when life gets hectic, they fall by the wayside in favor of something I can grab and walk out the door with. Like a piece of jerky or *shudder* granola Keep Reading

outfit mastery course

Finding a pair of jeans that fit? Forget it! Finding a dress that worked for me? Haha, no. I vacillated between trying to look put together, and giving up and living in ill-fitting jeans and t-shirts, until finally, a year ago, I got desperate and bought a course on how to dress well. Believe me, Keep Reading

how to get in shape for free

Gabriel brought a barbell set into our marriage. I thought that was cool. I mean, I didn’t know anything about lifting weights, and I really didn’t think lifting was a good idea for women, but still, kind of fun to play around with. Fast forward a few years, and I fell into a Facebook group of Keep Reading

My Word For 2017 – THRIVE

January 1, 2017 By Elise New Leave a Comment This post may contain affiliate links. Please read my disclosure policy for more info.

Are you familiar with, instead of making a myriad of New Year’s resolutions, choosing just one word to define your coming year? I’ve seen that idea around for a while - mostly on Facebook - and liked the general idea, but it never really struck a chord - not until a few weeks ago, anyway. Truth be Keep Reading

We all want to live a healthier life - that’s a given. But if we don’t watch out, it can get overwhelming quickly! Personally, I stand firmly behind the philosophy of one bite at a time - take one bite, or one simple step toward what you want, chew (master) it, and don’t take another bite (step) Keep Reading
