Homemade Pumpkin Pudding From Scratch
Tis the season for pumpkin!
Okay, you already knew that, but every time October rolls around, I get just a little bit excited, because I LOVE all those warm pumpkin pie spices.
This recipe is fast and easy, and my whole family just adores it – especially with a dollop of whipped cream on top. Pour it into a pie shell, you you’re just made pumpkin cream pie, which is perfect for those who, like my husband, suffer from egg allergies. No need to feel pumpkin pie deprived anymore!

This looks so good, Elise! I know my family would love this as a dessert or late night snack. 🙂
Thanks Jeanine!
Yes! Just in time for nap time so I don’t have to share! Haha. 🙂 Gonna have to try out that fudge, too…
Haha. I identify with that statement way to much.
And the fudge is pretty awesome! 🙂
Wow! And it’s so easy! I never realized 😛 Yum!
Wow I had no idea how easy it is to make pudding from scratch. Thanks for sharing!
So I just put my kids down for their nap. This is easy enough I can make it and eat it all before they get up. Mwahahaha (tired mom laugh)!!
I’ve got to try this I love the filling of the pumpkin pie, but not the crust.
You can whisk the dry ingredients together, first and then add your milk and pumpkin. Makes it really smooth.
Great as a hot pudding for on a cold day.
This did not set. It was completely liquid after hours in the fridge. I tasted the liquid, and it was WAY TOO SWEET. Disappointed I wasted my ingredients.
It sounds like some cornstarch was missing. It calls for 5 tablespoons. It is a bit too sweet so if you try it again you might want to use less sugar
Hi, I wanted to let people know that you should scaled back on the sugar in this recipe if you don’t like things too sweet. Other than that, this recipe is delish!
