Hey there! I’m so happy to be able to share with you five of the best – and easiest! – ways to save money on Christmas present!

Five Tricks To Save Money At Christmas on gifts - if you start early enough, you could even have Christmas for free!

Christmastime is a magical season. I know, I know, it’s cliche, but come on! It’s true! I don’t know a single person who wouldn’t say that they love Christmas.

…But at the same time, there’s also a certain amount of trepidation. Let’s face it, Christmas is as stressful as it is magical.

One of the biggest stressors? Money.

Everything from, “how am I going to afford all this?”, to “I hope I spent enough money on my cousin’s aunt’s, son’s nephew, and nobody gets offended”.

Ugh.

But even though there’s a stigma about not spending enough money on a present, those expected prices are based on retail value, not what you actually pay.

Because believe me you know have to pay that retail price!

Here are 5 worthwhile ways to save money on Christmas presents.

how to save money on christmas presents

Ebates

By signing up for an Ebates account, you will automatically get $10, but that’s just one tiny benefit compared to the ongoing savings. In fact, when you shop through Ebates, you earn anywhere from 2-30% (depending on what retailer you purchase from) cash back on everything purchased. That’s insane! And if you use Ebates throughout the year for all of your online purchases, you can actually earn a big enough check to buy all your Christmas presents for free!

Just make sure to bookmark Ebates so you can remember go through their site any time you make an online order.

SwagBucks

This is another rewards site, but a little bit different. There are multiple ways to earn points, which are cashed in for gift cards through SwagBucks, but the main one is something you do every day anyway; use the search tool. Do you want to search something in Google? You can download the SwagBucks toolbar for your web browser, and use it exactly the way you would use Google. It will randomly award you points, which you can cash out.

I’ve had a lot of people ask me is Swagbucks is really worth is, I just show them the screenshot below (from my account), and say, I think maybe, yeah, it’s worth it.

Amazon Deal Of The Day

Check these daily. Just look under the search bar for the “today’s deals” Tab, to see the discounts, and of course, always shop Amazon through E-Bates!

Giving Assistant

This is another place to earn cash back on online orders. Like eBates, you shop through their affiliate link, and they give you a percentage of the their cut, but unlike E-Bates, you can choose to give the savings to a charity! So cool! I’ve used them for ordering Site-To-Store at Walmart, and love not having to drag my kids through every aisle to get what we need!

Amazon Prime

If you’ve never upgraded your account to prime, with all the Christmas shopping going on this month, now is the time to try your free 30 day trial, and save a TON of money on shipping, plus get your orders quickly! That free two-day shipping, plus avoiding long lines sure does take the stress out of Christmas!

These five tricks will save you so much money on Christmas presents this year, and even beyond! After all, there’s no reason you shouldn’t be using eBates or Swagbucks all year long, and with any luck, maybe you can swing next Christmas completely free because of it!
