Your marriage is important, and I don’t think your budget should dictate whether you’re able to date your spouse or not. While it’s nice to be able to put some money aside into a “date night” budget, date night doesn’t have to cost a lot. In fact, some of the best dates are free!
You’ll be happy to know that there are plenty of budget-friendly date night ideas that won’t seem any less fun to you at all. I’m so excited to share with you these ten budget-friendly date night ideas because I hope they inspire some romance in your life and also help you save a lot of money in the process. There’s no better way to relax than to have some fun while knowing you aren’t breaking the bank! Am I right?
We all know that going out to eat with your significant other can add up to big bucks fast! After all, a three-course meal will run you almost forty dollars or more for just two of you. Instead of going out for a fancy dinner, why not limit it to just dessert? Have a nice meal that you’ve cooked yourself at home, and then go out to a fun restaurant for dessert!
One of my and Gabe’s favorite things to do is to go out and try a new ice cream place. Artisan ice cream is the best!
Do you and your love enjoy reading? A bookstore date would be perfect for you two! Pick a bookstore that also has a cafe, sip on some delicious coffee, and browse the book with your honey! Another idea is to each pick out a book that you think the other person would like!
Surprise cooking date
If you want to spice things up a bit, have one of you cook appetizers and the other make the main course. Make sure to keep them a secret from each other for a fun surprise for both of you! You can even make the dessert together at the end of the meal!
Park and playground date
When was the last time you went to the park and played on the playground? You can renew your relationship and feel like kids again!
Do you like to sweat? Then sweat together! Find a couple’s workout and get to exercising! Ladies, if you’re uncomfortable going into the gym free weights area, this may be your chance to try it out!
Movie night at home date
Do you know what’s great about staying in? No costs! Recreate the movie theater in your living room and watch your favorite film together (I would say romantic film together, but I can’t remember the last time I talked Gabe into doing that. ????)
If you’re a fan of antiques, hit some antique stores with your spouse, and see who can find the most inexpensive but beautiful piece for your home. Nothing says fun like a little competition!
Giving back to your community can be an excellent date! Work hard to benefit other people, and you’re sure to have a date that not only makes you feel accomplished but also closer together.
Lay out some pillows and blankets in the backyard and gaze at the stars together. Talk about your day, find the big dipper, and fall even deeper in love! Honestly, an air mattress in the back of the pickup truck is the best for a stargazing date!
If you and your honey love nature, a hiking date could be the perfect fit for you! Take a packed picnic and enjoy the beauty of nature together! Bonus points for finding a place with a view to enjoy your packed lunch.
There are a ton of budget-friendly date ideas that you and your loved one can take part in. Just remember, no matter what you end up choosing, the most important part is that you’re together!
