Four Ways To Naturally Clear Up Dandruff
Ever since we moved to Texas, I’ve been struggling with dandruff. Is it the dry weather? Is it some Texan curse? I don’t know, but I do know that it stinks, and I’ve tried a lot of things to make. It. Stop.
I’ve also stayed home a lot because, well… you know. It can be horrible when your head is just constantly feeling dry and flaking. Yuck. I’ve tried a bunch of different dry shampoos and sprays, but none seem to work fully. Sure, those products do give me some temporary relief, but they never fully cure my scalp from that dandruff.
Today, I’ll be sharing a few natural and affordable products that can help you effectively manage a dry scalp and dandruff.
Apple Cider Vinegar
To use this one, you will want to get all-natural, organic Apple Cider Vinegar. You will want to add about two tablespoons to a cup of water and mix them together. This makes for a great rinse for your hair, and it will help to clear up your dandruff. You can actually use this mixture to wash your hair as well in place of shampoo.
Yogurt
This is a straightforward, inexpensive option. Pick up some plain, unflavored yogurt and use it as a mask after shampooing your hair. Not only will the yogurt help to clear up that dandruff very quickly, but it will also help to moisturize your hair. Just be sure to shampoo it out after it sits for around 15 minutes.
Mineral Oil
Mineral Oil, which is essentially baby oil without added fragrance, is a great way to moisturize your scalp. All you need to do is take a small amount of oil and massage it into your scalp. I then like to leave it on for about 15 minutes. The oil will help to moisturize your scalp. However, it will leave your hair very greasy at the roots, so you will want to make sure you shampoo very well after you have finished.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is absolutely fantastic for you. There are numerous benefits to using coconut oil, including relieving dry skin, helping to heal tooth and gum infections, and many other awesome things. However, coconut oil is also really great for clearing up dandruff. I like to massage it into the scalp again, allowing it to sit, and then pull it through the ends of your hair. This can also serve as a very moisturizing mask for your hair.
A more expensive remedy I’ve been trying isn’t so much a remedy as Young Living’s Lavender and Lavender-mint shampoo and conditioner. It seems to be working beautifully, and I’m happy that I haven’t had to use any extra steps in my hair care routine lately.
Dandruff is incredibly annoying, and dealing with it can be a nightmare. However, using these tips, you can clear it up easily and quickly, all in a natural way. These fantastic products are really great for you and your body. Use these excellent natural tips to really clear up any dry scalp or dandruff that you may be suffering from.
