DIY

DIY is the way I prefer to do almost everything in life. We don’t have a lot of extra money to pay people to do things we can easily do ourselves. Plus, I get a huge amount of satisfaction from cooking, making, baking and doing. I prefer to see my hard work rewarded! Growing up in an Amish community, I have had a lot of practice with making things from scratch! It’s a way of life for my family and I.

I DIY body and cleaning products because I strive to have a chemical-free home and to only expose my husband and kids to things that are healthy for them. Nothing toxic! When you have strict rules like no toxins in your home, you have to learn to do-it-yourself when it comes to bath and cleaning products.

Our family has food allergies, so we eat gluten-free. But I DIY my baking mix because gluten-free mix is expensive!

Lastly, we are DIY-ing our own mobile home right now! Re-doing a mobile home from scratch is hard work but it feels so good!
