DIY is the way I prefer to do almost everything in life. We don’t have a lot of extra money to pay people to do things we can easily do ourselves. Growing up in an Amish community, I have had a lot of practice with making things from scratch! It’s a way of life for my family and I.
I DIY body and cleaning products because I strive to have a chemical-free home and to only expose my husband and kids to things that are healthy for them. Nothing toxic! Our family has food allergies, so we eat gluten-free. But I DIY my baking mix because gluten-free mix is expensive!
Lastly, we are DIY-ing our own mobile home right now! Re-doing a mobile home from scratch is hard work but it feels so good!
