Looking to nourish your skin and banish blemishes? This hydrating face serum is perfect!

There was once a time when I wouldn’t have considered putting oil on my face. After all, what did I wash my face for every morning if not to strip off the oil that was already there?

However, I didn’t know then that excessive washing could cause your oil glands to go into overdrive, or that there was a difference between a dirty, oily face and the intentional use of nourishing oils to hydrate your skin.

It all started a few years ago when I realized that I needed to exfoliate my face just as much as I did my feet. I then made a baking soda face wash, whose main ingredients are – you guessed it – baking soda and coconut oil.

That face wash did wonders for the softness of my skin, and I eventually realized that it was less the scrubbing – though that is necessary from time to time – and more the oils and the nutrients they carry.

And that’s where this hydrating face serum comes in.

This little bottle of homemade serum is a treat for your skin, hydrating it, reducing the appearance of blemishes, and providing nutrients that help fight the signs of aging, among other benefits.

You’d be hard-pressed to find a soothing, hydrating face serum of this quality, with ingredients this natural, at a store, for an affordable price.

While buying entire bottles of frankincense, ylang-ylang, and lavender essential oils is a significant investment, you will use them in many recipes, and they will last a long time – only a small amount is needed for the face serum.

Note: The most affordable way to get started with high-quality essential oils is by purchasing a premium starter kit, which can be found here.

Now, let’s make that hydrating face serum!
