My family is divided into salad dressings. Ranch, French, Italian, and Thousand Island.

I used to be in the Italian camp until my mom found a recipe for ranch dressing that used yogurt (or at least listed it as an option if you didn’t have buttermilk), and it was out. Of. This. World.

And ever since, I’ve been hooked on ranch.

And then I tried Chick-fil-A’s avocado-lime ranch dressing, and it was like a lightbulb went on.

Ranch dressing can get better??? Whoa.

And then, eventually, I grew up and started trying things without “ranch” in the name. Who knew vinaigrettes were good, too? (I know, Italian is a vinaigrette…)

Since then, salad dressing has become an obsession, and there are so many recipes here on Frugal Farm Wife that they deserve their own page. 🙂
