Who doesn’t love a good hearty salad in the summer? It’s such a great way to get a mix of veggies and protein without heating up the house or stuffing hot food into already hot bodies.
Both taco salad and chicken caesar salad are staples in our house during the summer, and I love keeping avocado lime ranch dressing for all occasions, but sometimes, I like to go the extra mile and make special taco salad dressing, and this dressing does not disappoint!
I love getting the taco seasonings evenly distributed over the entire bowl of salad, rather than just isolated to the chunks of ground beef. It makes for a whole lot more flavor all the way around.
But what’s even better about this taco salad dressing, is that it’s healthy. Well, it’s as healthy as you want to make it.
First, you can use either live culture yogurt or buttermilk, which provides you extra enzymes to help digest your dinner, and fills your gut with friendly bacteria,
Second, you can make your own homemade mayonnaise with either olive or coconut oil and farm fresh eggs. Superfoods!
Third, finish it all of with organic and/or raw milk.
So this recipe is basically a superfood, and you can stop listening to people who are telling you that you’re sabotaging your health with salad dressings. 😀

I made this yesterday and put on a taco salad today! I used plain greek yogurt and followed the seasonings as written. I found it to be a bit on the bland side (not flavorful enough, def NOT too salty). But I like to make my own dressing, so I will just kick it up a notch. Great starter! Thanks!!

This is the perfect taco salad dressing! Thank you for the idea of kidney beans and black olives in my taco salad. I love them and never thought about using either of them. Yum!

Delicious!
I wanted to make this dairy free, but was really craving a creamy dressing. So, I substituted soaked cashews & water for the dairy ingredients, used your seasonings, and mixed it up in my high speed blender. My whole family truly enjoyed.
Thank you!!

I’m just wondering if this is like the dressing that is on Del Taco 🌮 taco salads. I live in Texas, but used to live in San Bernadino. I had the pleasure of going to Del Taco. We don’t have Del Tacos here in Texas so I was trying to replicate the dressing. It sounds about right…..mmmmmm I can taste it now….
