Fun Stuff

Fun stuff is all about projects, crafts, trips we take and easy DIY posts that happen around here on The Frugal Farm Wife.

For the Fourth of July, I rounded up some great easy craft projects. I’m not a huge craft person – I have lots of skills but crafting might not be one of them – so I’m always on the lookout for cute, easy crafts that are at my skill level! That’s why I love my mason jar DIY round up post.

Decorating is also fun, but sometimes it is super time consuming and can be really expensive! Here’s some Autumn decorating tips with DIY pumpkin decor ideas and easy fall centerpiece ideas. Your home will be decked out for Thanksgiving and more!

Fun stuff has to include activities for kids too! They will love the homemade play dough recipe (it’s edible!), and the homemade spray chalk!

And with Christmas right around the corner, you’ll love these easy gift ideas and decor tips!

I’ve been wanting to make tallow candles ever since the last time I made homemade tallow in the crockpot this Spring. We’ve just been so busy though, it didn’t happen until today. Candles in jars like these make really nice homemade gifts, which is something to keep in mind with the holiday season Keep Reading

21 uses for egg cartons - don't let those egg cartons go to waste!

We eat a lot of eggs, and that results in a lot of egg cartons. We’ve been storing these egg cartons up, using a few here and there, but not nearly all of them, so I decided to look into ways to use them, rather than just throwing them away. It’s amazing all the fun things you do with them! I Keep Reading

Baking Soda playdough recipe

Baking soda play dough is an allergy-friendly alternative to traditional recipes. No childhood is complete without play dough. I mean really, can you imagine? Over the last several months, Garrett’s imagination has really been budding, so I knew I had to find a good play dough recipe. He loves Keep Reading

You’ve probably heard that it’s difficutl to make butter with goat milk. Well, I don’t know if dificult is the right word, but goats sure don’t produce a lot of cream, so there’s no way we could make enough to cover our family’s needs. Still, as long as we’ve got the milk, we might as well make Keep Reading
