Homemade Almond Butter

You can make homeade almond butter with a food processor in just a matter of minutes! This recipe costs us just about half of what pre-made almond butter costs, and I get to control the ingredients!

Instructions

  1. Toss almonds in 1-2 teaspoons olive oil
  2. Spread out on a cookie sheet and bake at 350ยบ until almonds are slightly toasted and fragrant.
  3. Remove from oven and let cool 3-5 minutes.
  4. Transfer almonds to a food processor and pulse until almonds are broken up and no longer threatening to tear your entire house apart.
  5. Add salt and remaining oil
  6. Turn food processor back on process until almonds have turned from powder, to paste, and finally to butter, scraping down sides as necessary.
  7. Transfer to a tight-lidded container, and refrigerate for up to two weeks.
  8. Enjoy!
