Here in Texas, we’re past our last frost date, and gardening is is full swing. Wondering what to plant in April in your area? Here are the answers you’re looking for!

I love April! The things we planted in March are growing strong, we’re harvesting a few of our own veggies like spinach, kale, and lettuce already, and almost everything else is planted.
This year, I planted a fairly large plot of strawberries, and I can’t wait until next spring when we start seeing the fruits of that. Interestingly, growing strawberries in the south is a little different than for northern gardeners, but like with nearly everything, plants and humans are adaptable!
Last month, one of our focuses was finding and utilizing ways to get our garden ready for spring, and of course, planting and growing onions. If you haven’t planted onions yet, it may not be too late for your ares – find out in the tables below!
You will find a list of what to plant in April organized by zone, type, and where below this, but first, don’t forget to gram your gardening cheat sheets by filling out this form:

How do I know what planting zone I’m in? I live in Arizona but I’m at 8500 feet.

Try googling your area + planting zone. I found this PDF from the Arizona Ag Extension.

Hello
I have had a strawberry plant in a pot got two years now and it blooms and I get these little strawberries but they dry out. What am I doing wrong? The plant looks healthy.
