1/2 t. garlic powder
1 c. brown sugar (or evaporated cane juice)
1/2 liquid smoke

Combine all ingredients and cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Continue cooking until sauce is thick.
Add meatballs and stir gently while heating through.
