Homemade Corned Beef Recipe



  1. Bring water to a boil in a large pot
  2. Add salt and stir until dissolved
  3. Add brown sugar, pickling spices, and garlic
  4. Let cool completely
  5. Add roast, making sure to fully submerge
  6. If your roast won’t stay down under the water, place a plate on top of roast and weight down with a jar of water
  7. Move to refrigerator
  8. Let brine for 7-9 days
  9. Remove roast from brine and cook in slow cooker on high for 4 hours
  10. Add vegetables and cook an additional 1 1/2-2 hours
  11. Enjoy!
