Gluten-Free Apple Streusel Bread




Apple Streusel


  1. Preheat oven to 350º
  2. Peel, core and chop apple
  3. Toss with cinnamon and sugar to coat all the pieces
  4. Set aside
  5. Cream together sugar and butter
  6. Beat in eggs and vanilla
  7. Combine flour mix, salt, and baking powder
  8. Beat 1/3 of flour mixture into butter/sugar mixture
  9. Beat in half the milk
  10. Repeat with the flour mixture, then milk, then last 1/3 of flour.
  11. Transfer half of batter into a greased 9×5 inch loaf pan
  12. Top with half of apple mixture
  13. “cut” apple mixture into great batter lightly with a butter knife (It’s fine to skip this step and have a layer of apples in the middle instead)
  14. Top with remaining batter
  15. Top with remaining apples and cinnamon-sugar
  16. Place in the oven and bake for 45 minutes
  17. Remove from oven an let cool 7-10 minutes before removing from pan Caution: Do not allow bread to cool completely in the pan. The Melted sugar from the streusel layer will harden and cause the bread and stick
  18. Slice, serve and enjoy!
