This delicious pie crust is a great way to use up some of your sourdough starter discards.

Ingredients

1 cup flour + extra for sprinkling
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
6 Tablespoons cold butter
1/2 cup sourdough starter
1/4 cup milk
Instructions
Combine flour, salt, and sugar, and mix together
Grate cold butter into flour mixture, mixing it in a bit as you go to coat the butter with flour and prevent it from sticking back together
Toss mixture together to break break up into smaller pieces
Stir in sourdough starter and milk
Mix until a ball forms, and knead a bit to make a nice, smoother ball
Turn onto a floured work surface, and roll to about 1/8 inch thick, turning a few times, and sprinkling with more flour as necessary to prevent from sticking to table or rolling pin
Fold dough over, and place a 9 inch pie pan next to folded edge of dough
Flip dough over pan and press into it
Trim edges
Bake @ 350º for about 20 minutes, or as directed by your pie filling recipe
