Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and a great way to start your day. However if you are not eating the right foods, you might be setting yourself up to crash early on. These recipes for muffins, rolls and oatmeal are great gluten free ways to get started and fill you with energy. The egg nests, crepes, frittatas and cheddar biscuits are a means of getting started but are fancy enough for a brunch or special occasion when it comes to eating breakfast. These recipes are quick and easy, and even cater to breakfast on the go, such as having breakfast pops, which are great for kids because they will think they are having dessert for breakfast, but also include smoothies for when you can not quite sit down and eat breakfast at the table. You can even take breakfast to go with the travel granola and homemade yogurt. There are enough recipes here that you can surprise your family with a fun healthy gluten free and allergen free start to the day.

“You mean we get to have cookies for breakfast?!” My four-year-old thought he’d finally gotten one over on me, so I didn’t bother telling him that they were healthy cookies.  Why ruin his fun, ya know?  These cookies are sweetened with applesauce, banana, and just a little bit of honey. Also? I Keep Reading

These are hands down the best gluten-free waffles I have ever made or eaten! gluten-free monkey bread

You know how one taste, or sound, or smell can take you right back to your childhood? Monkey bread is that way for me. It was one of those rare breakfasts that mom would make for a special treat. So soft, so fluffy, and so dripping with gooey cinnamon/butter/sugar. So GOOD! But of course, it Keep Reading

Have you ever made a gluten-free recipe where you looked at the finished product and though “eh, that’s not really how I imagined it would turn out” but then you take a bite and thing “holy guacamole, that’s good!” That’s how it was with this banana coffee cake. healthy granola cereal

There is something about a bowl of breakfast cereal and cold milk that never gets old, don’t you agree? Unfortunately, so many of them are just, well, trash.
