Kids

When it comes to my kids, their health and happiness are my two biggest concerns. After that, it’s most important to me to raise them to be the best kind of people they can be.

I take food very seriously in our home, because my husband has a lot of food allergies. This means we are very careful with what we let into our home. That means our kids eat a diet that is gluten-free, and full of fresh veggies and fruits.

We are also committed to raising our kids without spoiling them, and teaching them the value of working hard for what you have in life. We think it’s actually a good thing for kids to not get everything that they want, because it helps build them into better people.

Children can be a lot of work, and they don’t always make life easier. I strive to help you enjoy your children more and stress over them less!

July 27, 2013 By Elise New 1 Comment This post may contain affiliate links. Please read my disclosure policy for more info.

How does one condense a birth story into a blog post without losing the “feel” of the thing? I’m not sure it’s possible, so prepare yourself for a long read. First, I must confess that after Garrett’s birth, I really, really didn’t want to go through the whole pregnancy and birthing process ever Keep Reading

She’s here! Yes she. Shortly after she was born as Gabriel and the midwife were working to get her cleaned up and out, where I couldn’t really see what was going on, I heard Sheryl, our midwife, say “turn him this way… well, not a ‘him’ is she?” What? Not a him? Are sure? At that point, I decided Keep Reading

Random Ramblings on Cloth Diapering

January 25, 2013 By Elise New Leave a Comment This post may contain affiliate links. Please read my disclosure policy for more info.

I’ve been cloth diapering now for… 18 months? The first several months weren’t anything like exclusive, partly because it took a while to get in the groove of washing the diapers before we ran out. There are times now and then that I use paper, For instance, when we go on a long-ish trip, yet not Keep Reading
