Four Ways To Naturally Clear Up Dandruff

Ever since we moved to Texas, I’ve had the worst time with dandruff. Is it the dry weather? Is it some sort of Texan curse? I don’t know, but I do know that it stinks, and I’ve tried a lot of things to make. it. stop.
I’ve also stayed home a lot because, well… you know. It can be horrible when your head is just constantly feeling dry and flaking. Yuck. I am one that has tried a bunch of different dry shampoos and sprays, anything that you can think of, and nothing seems to fully work. Sure those products do give me some sort of temporary relief, but it never fully cures my scalp from that dandruff.

Today I am going to be sharing with you a few different products that are completely natural and inexpensive ways of effectively taking care of your dry scalp and dandruff.

Apple Cider Vinegar
In order to use this one, you will want to get the all-natural, organic Apple Cider Vinegar. You will just want to add about 2 tablespoons to a cup of water and mix them together. This makes for a great rinse for your hair, and it will help to clear up your dandruff. You can actually use this mixture to wash your hair as well in place of shampoo.
Yogurt
This is a really simple, inexpensive option. Just pick up some plain, unflavored yogurt and use it as a mask after you shampoo your hair. Not only will the yogurt help to clear up that dandruff very quickly but it will also help to moisturize your hair. Just be sure to shampoo it out after it sits for around 15 mins.
Mineral Oil
Mineral Oil – which is basically baby oil without added fragrance –  is a great way to moisturize your scalp. All you need to do is take a small amount of oil and massage it into the scalp, then I like to leave it on my scalp for about 15 minutes. The oil will help to moisturize your scalp. However, it will leave your hair very greasy at the roots, so you will want to make sure you shampoo very well after you have finished.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is absolutely amazing for you. There are so many benefits to using coconut oil to relieve dry skin, help to heal teeth and gum infections, and so many other awesome things. However, coconut oil is also really great for clearing up dandruff. I like to once again massage it into the scalp and allow it to sit, but also pull it through the ends of your hair because it can be a very moisturizing mask for your hair as well.
A more expensive remedy I’ve been trying isn’t so much a remedy as Young Living’s Lavender and Lavender-mint shampoo and conditioner. It seems to be working beautifully, and I’m happy that I haven’t had to use any extra steps in my hair care routine lately.
Dandruff is so annoying, and it’s a horrible thing to deal with, and using these tips, you can clear it up very easily and quickly but in a natural way. These amazing products are really great for you and your body. Use these awesome natural tips to really clear up any dry scalp or dandruff that you may be suffering from.
